Lumps & Bumps

Many lumps in pets are benign, such as lipomas (fatty tumors) or sebaceous cysts. These are generally harmless but may require removal if they cause discomfort or affect your pet’s quality of life.

Lumps & Bumps

Lumps and bumps in pets can have various causes, including:

  • Abscesses: Abscesses are pockets of infection that can result from bites, puncture wounds, or other injuries. They often appear as swollen, painful lumps filled with pus and may require draining and treatment with antibiotics.
  • Allergic reactions: Some pets can develop hives or swollen areas as a result of allergies to certain foods, medications, or environmental factors.
  • Tumors: Unfortunately, some lumps can be cancerous tumors. It’s crucial to have any suspicious lump examined by a veterinarian, as early detection and treatment can significantly improve outcomes.

You can call us to prevent lumps and bumps when you notice a lump or bump on your pet.
