Post-Op Incisions
Proper care of post-op incisions is essential for promoting healing, preventing infection, and minimizing complications.
We provide instructions on how to clean the incision. This may involve using mild soap and water or a prescribed cleansing solution. Gently pat the area dry with a clean towel or sterile gauze.
We will advise you on whether the incision needs to be covered with a sterile dressing or if it can be left uncovered. If dressing changes are necessary, follow the instructions provided by your healthcare provider regarding frequency and technique.
